EXPERIENCE

Senior IT Associate
CIS, Texas A&M University, College Station, TX  2001 – present

Create, maintain and update online/batch programs and data for the Texas A&M
Student Information Management System (SIMS), Billing & Receivables team.
Responsibilities include scheduling and tending to nightly running of
maintenance jobs, overseeing printing and delivery of bills, maintaining
integrity of data, troubleshooting for end users and overseeing projects.

Accomplishments

 * Promoted to position of Senior IT Associate within 15 months.
 * Created interface between online bill payment web site to mainframe, allowing
   payments to be posted to SIMS.
 * Expanded subcode information system and integrated password system.
 * Implemented Enhancement Fee process, the largest fee increase at Texas A&M in
   five years. Programmatically flagged students from set of grandfather clauses
   and modified billing programs to assess the new fees.


Vice President/Lead Programmer
ViaTexas.com, Inc, Dallas, TX  2000 – present

Online business selling downloadable lists of new businesses opened in the state
of Texas each week. Responsibilities include creating weekly product from public
record files, posting weekly product to website and implementing new ideas for
company.

Accomplishments
 * Developed algorithm to determine new weekly businesses from publicly filed
   state records.
 * Created website (www.viatexas.com) using ASP.NET, ADO.NET and C#.
 * Integrated IBuySpy Store from Vertigo Software and modified it to incorporate
   electronic software downloads.
 * Implemented support for VeriSign’s Payflow Link e-commerce solution.


Student Tech II
Texas A&M University Libraries, College Station, TX  1999 – 2000

Student Worker for the Library Systems Department. Duties included installing
and maintaining computer systems for libraries across campus, network
troubleshooting and programming in Visual Basic, Visual C++ and ASP, serving as
help desk for internal personnel on training, helping with system maintenance
and upgrading and maintaining subscriptions for online reference material for
libraries.
